iPAD in the classroom – a demo of a pilot project

tablet computerGary Glaser applied for, and received, an Academic Innovation award last year to connect an iPad wirelessly to the computer equipment in the Biology lab where he was teaching.  This allows the iPad screen to be projected or to have full control of the computer from the iPad.

The system is now up and running, and Gary is willing to share what he has done with anyone who is interested.

On Thursday, October 24 from 1:00 – 1:30 pm, Gary will be in D302 demonstrating what has been done and how he uses it. Computer Services staff will also be available to talk about what’s needed (you know it’s not always simple!) to replicate this in other classrooms.

Space will be limited, it is a real biology lab, and once the room is filled, it’s filled. So don’t be late!

Hope to see you there!
